Good things for an individual are born out of the vision the person holds steady before his or her inner eyes. The person comprehends, as he or she examines what it will take to fulfill the vision that it is made up of building blocks. Each building block has to be mastered, which means learning, changing, expanding, and shaping, one step at a time. I believe that is why God said, “Don’t belittle the small steps.” Small steps, equivalent to building blocks, are vital to moving forward toward the vision and maintaining the momentum.

Friday evening, I received the hard copies of one of my small steps.Still Me…After All These Years by Karen Helene Walker is an Anthology in which twenty-four writers Reflect on Aging.

I am elated to be one of those authors.

Still Me…After All These Years is available in print and as e-book at Amazon, Kobo, Smashwords and other bookstores.

Shalom aleichem,

  4. The days of giant leaps have passed for me. These days, I approach everything I do with small steps and find I am getting much better results. I really enjoyed your essay, Pat. I think about my attitude on “sex and senior citizens” (or do grandma and grandpa “get it on”) when I was in my teens and twenties. It was a visual I wasn’t ready to accept back then. You approach the subject with style and grace.

  5. Congratulations Pat!! You are doing fabulous. Aging, sometimes, is not an easy process. I look forward to reading your thoughts on the subject.

  6. No matter how small our steps may be, the important thing is to keep moving forward. (Although an occasional look back over our shoulder every once in a while is good, too.0

I enjoyed your essay, too. Young people don’t like to think of us as sexual beings, so they’d never believe us if we told them sex can actually be better than ever in our golden years.

  7. I’m so pleased to be sharing the pages of Still Me… with you, Pat, as we take our small steps.

  8. Small steps make for great accomplishments, Pat. I’m so glad you submitted an essay to the anthology.

  9. Hi Pat! I’m beyond thrilled that you have an entry in this book! I bought it when it came out. Looking forward to reading it! Today at WEP we have Kalpanaa talking about her writing journey. This is such an exciting time for so many of us.

    Denise 🙂

  10. I am pleased that this book has been written. As we age, we don’t always have critical conversations with our partner, our children, peers, etc. I think this is a must read for those entering the senior realm.
I am also pleased that Pat has pushed through the challenges of last year and put forth one of her wonderful, thought provoking, essays.
