A French Girl on the Prairie by Fred Pirat
This adventuresome little book was written in French by Fred Pirat and translated from the French by Bonnie Samuels.
The story told to him by a ninety-two-year-old woman is the true story of her adventures when she first came to the United States of America and went Westward to Montana with her Mother in the nineteen hundred’s.
Marie Delos was twelve years old when she first boarded the ship to cross the ocean. At that time, she and her mother were not aware of how primitive Montana was. The infrastructure had not been established.
A French Girl on the Prairie also tells of her other travels. Therefore, if you enjoy reading about Laurie Ingalls Wilder and her adventures, then you will enjoy A French Girl on the Prairie by Fred Pirat.

I’m travelling a lot myself. I figure this wouldn’t be a book I’d pick. But thank you for the information, Patti.

Take care of yourself, A.J. I know traveling is something you can’t avoid, but get plenty of rest.
