Blessed and Betrayed by Ms. Sandy Appleyard

May 14, 2013

The novel, Blessed and Betrayed, written by author, Sandy Appleyard, goes into the dynamics changes of a young woman with a past she knows nothing about.

The author opens up brilliantly with the words from a dying woman, her nanny, who stood by her in her childhood, while she was growing up:

“Nothing is as it seems,” whispered the Nanny to the young woman standing at her bedside, “Nothing is as it seems.”

What do you do when the rug is pulled out from under you?

How do you deal with truths that are suddenly no longer true?

Ms. Appleyard explores these questions as she dives into the life of Victoria, a young woman who desired to be loved by a woman whom she thought to be her mother.

The book, Blessed and Betrayed, is a love story. Painted throughout the book is Victoria’s struggle to find herself, to forgive those who have betrayed her and to move into her own happiness.

It is romance with a light touch of suspense, and it will keep you wondering what will happen next in Victoria’s life.

An excellent book with an excellent story, Ms. Appleyard has done a wonderful job of capturing her readers.  Therefore, if you desire a great story that speaks to the heart, then Blessed and Betrayed is definitely a book you want to buy and read.

Congratulations, Ms. Sandy Appleyard on a job well done: I salute you.
