7 Writers Get To Strut Their Stuff (The Seven-Line Challenge)
Elaine Cougler ( http://elainecougler.wordpress.com) has tagged me in the 7-line challenge. Thank you, Elaine.
Here are seven lines from A Time To Love, my inspirational, multicultural romantic suspense novel, as Nicholas Prandelli is informed on the telephone from his nephew the woman he loves was almost rape.
“Do you gentlemen want me to tell her?” Nick had asked with a frosty sting in his voice, as he disregarded Marco’s plea for understanding and ignored Basti’s defence of Marco.
“No, Nick, that is not necessary. We will get her to come, our way, but promise me you will go easy on her and treat her like a Princess. It will not be easy for her being confronted with you and the people at The Mansion, or for her to accept the role I have played in Operation Conquering the Princess.”
“Nothing in life is easy, Marco. Either you two get the Princess here, or I will get her here my way. As for the gentleman in question, I will take care of him. Let’s see what he does when he meets someone his size,” Nick had said, and the phone died.
It is now my turn to tag 7 other writers, whose works are varied both in product and stage, to keep the challenge going: ‘Raani York, (http://raaniyork.wordpress.com), L W Smith (http://laurie27wsmith.wordpress.com), Tracee Ford (http://traceeford.com) Jenny Worstall (http://jennyworstall.wordpress.com), Tami McVey (http://foodforays.com), Larry Bernstein (http://memyselfandkids.wordpress.com) Allan Krummenacker (http://allankrummenacker.blogspot.de).
This is your mission: Go to line 7 on either page 7 or page 77 of your manuscript and do a post with the next 7 lines, then tag 7 people to keep the challenge going! This a short and savvy way to see what others out there in the blogosphere are writing.
