New Blog – Book Reviews and Book Recommendations – An Introduction

June 6, 2012

As a writer, it is my heart’s desire to not only concentrate on what I am writing and see it go into print, but also to read the books of  writers or authors that I meet along the way and give an honest evaluation of their work and spread the word about their excellent writing ability.  Everyone of us know reading, for any good writer, is just as important as writing.  It helps us build up our vocabulary and more important, it opens us up to the thinking of others.

I personally enjoy reading other people’s books, just as much as I enjoy reading other people’s blogs, because a part of  my growth stems from  learning from others. There is something about meeting others and getting to know them, reading their works or hearing their audio recordings that will encourage you to jump outside of the box and explore what those inner voices you hear in your spirit  are saying to you.

Many people have asked me what kind of books I read and I have told them I read mostly all genres, non-fiction and fiction, or they have asked me to recommend a book to buy for a present for some special occasion, and I have done it. Some people may hesitate in doing this, but I usually do not.  Being a writer, for me, means not only  being a master of my trade, but also a connoisseur of good books, so that I am able  to recommend what I consider to be good reading.

Thus, this blog is dedicated to book reviews of books that I have read, or will read, which will help guide others into reading good books.

It is my desire that this blog will help you when it comes time for you to purchase your next book for yourself or for someone else.

Happy reading!
